BEING A GOOD HOST

Being a good host is important in a family. It makes your family look good and respectful, and makes the visitors feel pleased to be in your house.

The first thing about being a good host is inviting them in. Every time you have visitors you always have to greet and invite them into your house. It is disrespectful to talk from your door because you make them feel like they are not welcomed in your house.

The second thing is that you have to be happy for your visitor. You have to make them feel delighted in your house. By offering them a cup of tea or something to eat because that is respectful in my culture.so if they come in your house you always have to greet them politely and ask if they want a cup of tea.

My second to last action about being a good host is letting them know who your family are. It is always good to let them know because if they don’t know who they are then they are going to feel uncomfortable towards them and you.

What I am trying to say is to be kind to everyone else and the visitors that come to your house.

MY WRITTING

Hello my name is Julius and I am going to be telling you about what you should and not do on a tramp.And also telling you about the safety of being on a tramp.

The first thing you should do to keep you and other people safe around you is to check for any rules. It is always good to just in case you don’t read and you hurt yourself, because you don’t know that it’s a shallow pool and then you dive. So  recommend you to always check and read for any caution. 

Don’t go in the pool alone,if you are an adult do not leave your kids alone when it comes to pools. Because if you leave they will get too excited and go into the pool,and I will be too deep and the baby will drown. 
So everything that i said is true and really does happen so make sure that you always check for caution.

Letter to Mrs Tele'a

Dear Mrs Tele’a,
My name is Julius and let me tell you some things about myself. I was born in NZ and my cultures are half Samoan,quater Fiji and quater Maori.

Paragraph 1: Introduce who you are (things like your culture, family, age)
 I live in East Auckland but I was raised in Manurewa in the south. I am 11 years of age and live in a house with three people,mum dad and me. When i was living in south Auckland i was living with a family of 8, it was me,mum,Bianca,Karen,Tamara my uncle Johnny and my nan and grandpa.

Paragraph 2: What are some of your interests or favourite things ?
I love playing sports. When I was young I would not be able to play some sports because of my asthma. I had this thing where if I run for too long I start to struggle to breath. Another thing that I like doing is drawing. I have this book that my uncle bought me when I was young, I have pictures with other drawings like animals and cars.

Paragraph 3: What do you like and dislike at school? What are your goals for 2020?
The thing that i like about my school is that i get to see my beautiful teacher Mrs Tele’a and Whaea Kelly, i also like being with my friends but only the close ones. But my best friend is Sika. What I dislike about school is nothing i like my school the way that it is. 

Paragraph 4: What does a good teacher do? How can Mrs Tele’a support you this year?
A good teacher would help you with anything like your work,sports and everything else. She could also help me get better grades for my highschool report but that's what she could help with but i have to do it myself. I think that Mrs Tele’a is the best teacher because she is more strict but when you listen she is very humorous, so if you do bad then she does bad but if you do good then she does good.

My reading group for this year.

Hello this year my reading group is Duff, my group is named after a famouse author Alan Duff. He was born in Rotorua in also born in 1950. Fun fact he actually came to our school for our assembly. Alan Duff supports reading and said that kid should read more offten.
